I just received an email about a 2007 vintage post to this blog. Today it is 2020 - wow. I wouldn't really characterize 2007 as the "old web" - it's not Geocities or anything! - but that is still somehow impressive to me. Looking through some of my old posts, it reminds me how ephemeral things like Facebook are in comparison. If anything, LinkedIn has taken up more of the role of the Blog than anything else I am using today.
